Boris Quercia is a renowned Chilean actor, known for his roles in the theater productions of ''La Negra Ester'' (The Black Woman Ester) and ''El Desquite'' (Revenge), as well for his work on television and in film. Though he is not an environmental activist, Quercia affirms he is concerned every day about not polluting the world around him.

He responded to Tierramérica's questions:

1 What does ecology mean to you?
-It has to do with the survival of humanity.

2 What do you do to take care of the earth?
-I try to produce less waste.

3 What chapter of human history would you erase?
-Hiroshima, the worst disaster in history.

4 If you could designate a special day, what would it be?
-The day of consuming only what is necessary. We do not need so many things in order to live.

5 What should humans fear?
-Ignorance, because it creates destruction.
