The history of science in Brazil will be divided into before and after
the Genome-FAPESP Program, predicts its scientific director José Fernando
Pérez.
RIO DE JANDEIRO - Brazil made a sudden entrance in the big leagues of
international science. Two achievements, one related to oranges and the
other to tumors, put the country at the forefront of genetic research
in Latin America, boosting it to the level of the discipline's giants
- Great Britain and the United States.
